Ingrid Lieber

MD, PhD
Resident in Psychiatry | Clinician-Researcher

Dr. Ingrid Lieber is a psychiatry resident at Sunderby Hospital in northern Sweden. She received both her medical degree and PhD from Umeå University, where she remains affiliated through ongoing research collaborations.

Her clinical and scientific interests lie at the intersection of mind and body, with a particular focus on affective disorders, endocrine function, and pharmacological treatment. Driven by a curiosity about how physiological systems interact with mental health, she aims to contribute to a more integrated understanding of psychiatric care.

Dr. Lieber has presented her research at leading international conferences, including the European Psychiatric Association (EPA), the International Society for Bipolar Disorders (ISBD), and the Royal College of Psychiatrists (RCPsych) International Congress.

She is dedicated to bridging research and clinical practice, with a firm belief in the value of evidence-based care—both to improve outcomes for patients and to guide and support clinicians in their work.
