The EAPM 2016 conference coincides with the Islamic month of Ramadan. This has in recent years been a challenge for practising muslims in our latitude where the sun just dips below the horizon for about 50 minutes at this time of year.
From 2015 the recommendation for fasting in northern Sweden is to observe the conditions in effect around april 21, the latest period when there is a distinct difference between day and night. The result is a period of 16 hours of fasting during daytime from 04.30 to 20.30.
